A proud Sylacauga native and lifelong resident of District 2, Antonio “AJ” Stamps is a mentor, public servant, and advocate with a heart for community and a vision for the future. Raised in the Marble City, AJ remembers the strength, unity, and values that once defined our neighborhoods — and he’s running to restore that spirit through strong leadership and real progress. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Miles College, AJ made a conscious decision to return home, determined to be a part of the change Sylacauga needs. With years of community involvement and professional experience, AJ brings integrity, collaboration, and fresh energy to the table. He is deeply committed to listening to the people, fighting for practical solutions, and making Sylacauga a place where families feel supported, businesses can grow, and young people choose to stay. AJ believes that with shared purpose and bold action, we can build a stronger, more vibrant future — one that honors our past while creating new opportunities for generations to come.
